CHARLOTTE (July 16, 2025) – Following an extensive, all-inclusive review of the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli technical team’s practices and decisions which led to the post-race disqualifications of competitors in Round 8 of the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series held at Watkins Glen International on July 12, 2025, it has been determined that the internal process was not adhered to leading up to the post-race disqualifications of the No. 8, No. 27 and No. 28 cars. As such, the disqualifications of the No. 8, No. 27 and No. 28 entries and their drivers, Carson Brown, Barry Boes and Tristan McKee, respectively, will be reversed.
The review process involving Trans Am Series officials, technical staff, and team owners was focused on the implementation of the 2025 Sporting Regulations for the Trans Am Series rules, application practices, and internal technical practices directives that had been issued in advance of the July 12 event.
This review process has also driven the issuance of Technical Bulletins regarding clarifications of the design of multiple TA2 component designs, as well as other technical review policies and practices.
The Trans Am Series will continue to work with our team partners to identify open questions and clarify rules, standards, specifications, and policies. We encourage inquiries from our teams regarding our rules, practices, and standards in our continuous improvement effort toward providing the best of American Road Racing to our teams, drivers and fans.
The Trans Am Series will return to competition at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, August 28-31.
